Te Arolm and lyitikati have been re-taunn-ferred to Tauranga, thus remaining in licensed districts. Pukekohe lias been put back into Franklin, Raugitikei is re-named Waimarino, Mnnawatu is changed to Raugitikei, and (ieraldine to Temuka.
THE TIMARU SEAT. Timaru, Last Night. Mr. C. Tiiiiibnll declines an invitation to contest the Timaru scat in the Opposition interest, partly 'because he will be absent from the Dominion next year. No one ctec is named as yet in that interest. WELLINGTON EAST SEAT. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. F. G. Bolton, Liberal candidate for Wellington East, addressed the electors to-night. He urged the need for inquiry concerning the falling off in some industries, and into the question of the increasing cost of living. He preferred! to support the Liberal Government because the negative. Opposition policy offered nothing useful. The candidate had a good" hearing. % LABOR CANDIDATES FOR DUNEDIN Dunedin, Lost Night. The Labor Representation Council tonight finally selected Mr. D. Macpherson as candidate for Dunedin Central, and * Mr. J. McManus as candidate for Dnnodin South. The list of local candidates • is now. complete, and includes also Messrs. A. R. Barclay (Dunedin North) and A. McCarthy (Port Chalmers).
