Liquidation of .shares was conducted on a large scale. Five points were lost in the first hour. There was a Blight recovery afterwards. The total sales were the largest since lfMl2. Liquidation was due to the belief that the Steel Corporation would lie forced to dissolve as the result of the recent suit with the Department of Justice.
