This is a record for length. The vessel did not encounter any rough weather to speak of, the voyage lengthening on account of bad coal, loaded in successive quantities at Norfolk, St. Vincent, Durban and Bunbury. The previous record for a lengthy voyage was held by the steamer Florence Pile, which some years ago occupied 75 days on the trip to Melbourne. AOTEA SOLD. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s steamer Aotea, which went ashore at Moville Point (South Africa) on January 21, while bound from Liverpool to New Zeaiand ports with general cargo, and was refloated on March 3 and docked at Capetown, and his been lying there for about six months, was recently sold to Mr. Ochberg, of Capetown, who will have her temporarily repaired to enable her to proceed to Europe. A new rudder will probably be fitted, and when the Aotea is made lit for sea she may load a cargo of scrap-iron for Genoa—that graveyard of .so many iron and steel ships that have figured so prominently in the Australian and New Zealand trade.
