HOME RULE

STATEMENT BY MR. REDMOND. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London. September 22. Mr. John Redmond, in an article in Reynolds' newspaper, declares tliat the almost universal distrust of the adminIrtration of justice in Ireland is the greatest argument in favor of Home Rule. Distrust springs largely from the laws being foreign-made by a foreign Parliament. Many of the criminal laws are tyrannical and offensive, and would never be tolerated in England. Under its own Government Ireland would be«ome the roost law-abiding country in the world. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, greatly influenced by the success of the South African Lnion, announces his conversion to Irish Home Rule.
