The vessel will be insulated and thtej with a refrigerator, while there will besome lfiOOft of piping in the holds, capable of dealing with 1100 quarters of beef or .1500 carcases of mutton, vliieli quantity the vessel's holds are arranged to carry. On deck she will be fitted with two winches and the latest appliance* fop dealing with the large butter and cheesetrade between Patea aud Wellington. The vessel will have steam steeringgeer supplied and fitted by 'Messrs. .1. J, Xiven and Co.. of Napier. She was designed bv Mr. L. Bennett, superintendent engineer to the Paten Shipping Co.. and will be ready for sea by, the end ofXovcmber.
