THE PARNELL SEAT. DEPUTATION TO WAIT ON SIR JOHN FINDLAY. By Telegraph—Preas Association. Auckland, September 21. It has been definitely arranged that a large and influential deputation will wait upon Sir John Findlay while in Auckland, and request him to accept nomination for the Parnell seat at the forthcoming Parliamentary election. The Attorney-General, when announcing his intention to contest a seat for the Lowei House at the next election, added that it was probable that he would take up his permanent residence in whichcvei electorate he stood for, such a course being possible since his retirement from his profession. In view of this statement, and the extreme likelihood of Mr. Frank. Lawry not again contesting the seat, it is felt that if Sir John Findlay could be prevailed upon to accept nomination he would be successful in winning the Parnell constituency. At present the only candidates definitely announced are Messrs. E. 0. B. Moss'(Opposition), J. S. Dickson (Liberal and Übor), and M. J. Black (Labor). The deputation, which is likely to be a very large one, has telegraphed asking Sir John Findlay to meet them at the Grand Hotel at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.

TUB PATEA SKAT. The Hawera Star understands that the requisition which has been in eircularisation in the Patca electorate inviting the Hon. T. Mackenzie to contest the Patca seat was presented to the Minister at Wellington yesterday by Messrs. 11. Greville (Hawera) and M. O'Sullivan (Manutahi). THE EGMONT SEAT. Xo Government candidate has yet been announced for the Egmont seat. Hoth the Hon. T. Mackenzie and Sir John Kindlay have been invited to stand. THE TARANAKI SEAT. No move is to be made to run a Government candidate against the sitting member till it is known if cither the Won. T. Mackenzie or Sir John 'Kindlay will accept nomination.
