The Employers' (Federation continued tho polity of opposing preference to unionists' It was resolved that, u-s tho (?old mining industry is in an unsatis-fitt-lorv state, the tax of threepence per ounce'is improper and harassing and its removal he asked for; that the Premier he lilted to give effect to the promise** made liy him to amend the Lund and Income Assessment Act in the direction of removing tho special tax imposed on owners of some industries upon material* used, in addition to the ordinary profit made by them toy the u>e of the material referred to in connection with their business.
