SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Th« Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast: — Very stormy weather and heavy seas hare been, experienced on the east coast jtettffeieii' Napier and. Akaroa Peninsula, "also In Cook Strait. The weather has been cold, unsettled, and showery generally, with high southerly winds in parts. The barometer has risen everywhere. Present indications are for stormy weather between East Cape and Kaakoura and in Cook Strait, with a south-past gale, heavy showers and high seas on the coast Strong southerly winds are probable generally, .but decreasing after about eighteen hours, with cold and changeable weather in most parts, of the Dominion, but improving after about 24 £oure.
