The report showed that the club bad engaged in seven matches during the past season, winning six and losing one. During the winter the grass courts had been returfed and top-dressed, and at the present time were looking at their best. The committee was pleased to sec the number of members that had availed] themselves of the opportunity of using the asphalt courts during the winter months. The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory .position, after allowing for extraordinary expenditure of about £ls. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. Stanley Smith; | vice-presidents, Messrs. T. G. Sole, N. K. MctDiarniid, and A. Ambury (re-elected); committee, Misses West," Arthur, A. Sole, Messrs. K. dackson, Smith and Evans; secretary. Mr. IT. Broadmorc; auditor, Mr. S. Lee (re-elected). Mr. \V. 11. Broome was appointed delegate to the Taranaki Tennis Association.

Several new members were elected. The subscriptions were iixed the s:\mo as the previous year. Thursday. October 10, will be the opening day.
