SURF-BATHERS DROWNED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, September 18. Two brothers named Nicol were' drowned whilst surf-bathing at Thirroul. QUARANTINE REGULATIONS. Melbourne, September 18. Vessels trading between New Zealand and Australia, excepting passenger boats, are exempted from the provisions of the Quarantine Act provided they are not from a proclaimed port. This has been done to enable trading vessels to make Australian ports the iitst ports of call.
