SUMMARY AND FORECAST. M • By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological office has issued the following weather summary and forecast: —The barometer has fallen considerably in the South, but has risen in the northernmost districts. Westerly winds have prevailed and freshened generally. The weather has been fair to k overcast, with rain in parts. Present indications are for westerly winds, Strong to gale, generally, with a falling barometer everywhere. Unsettled and boisterous weather is probable generally, and min on the West Coast and southern districts and with heavy seas on all the western coast.
