L. A. NOLAN AND CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday we had our usual large entry. Table birds sold well, but other birds were slightly easier. A pen of well-grown ducklings realised 2s Id a piece. We quote:—Hens, fat and laying, Is 10d to 2s 3d, others Is 6d to Is lud; cockerels, fat 2s 3d to 3s Cd; others Is 7d to Is lOd; pullets, 2s 3d; roosters, Is Cd to 2s Od; ducks, Is 7d to 2s 3d; ducklings, 2s Id; turkey gobblers, 10s. Fruit. —There has been a good demand during the last week. Nelson apples are in keen demand. We quote: Oranges, Sydney 5s to 8s 9d; mandarins, 7s 6d to 8s 3d; pines, 10s 6d; Nelson apples, 13s Od to 14s Od; bananas, 10s 6d. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT.
Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday we had an extra heavy entry of all 1 classes of birds, and prices realised showed an advance on the previous week, despite the big drop in eggs. We quote Poultry.—Hens Is 8d to 2s (Id, cockerels. Is 8d to 2s 3d, ducks 2s to 2s 3d, \ drakes 2s Bd, ducklings B'/ 2 d each, turkey I gobblers 7s to 8s Od, bantams Is to i Is 3d. Sundries, shrubs and shelter trees sold at usual rates. Furniture. —On Wednesday we held a clearing sale of furniture on account of | Sir. H. George, at his residence in Hine j street. Bidding was brisk throughout,! and prices realised were very satisfactory. Fruit.—This has been in very short fmpply during the week, and prices accordingly were high. Bananas (ripe) 2d per lb, oranges (re-packs) 17s Od, apples (Stunners) 12s Od to 14s. LOCAL MARKETS. Butchers' Meat. Beef: Sirloin, Gd; prime ribs, 3d; rump steak, 8d: beef from 3d to 6d; corned beef. 4d ana fid. Mutton: Legs 6d; chops, Gd; loin, sd; shoulders, 5d per lb; necks, • 3d. Veal, 3d to 5d per lb. Sausages: Beef, sd, pork Bd. Lamb: Legs, 6d; forequarters, 4s Od; hindquarters, 5s 6d. Pork: Fresh, Od per lb. , Fowls. 5s to Os per pair; ducks, Cs per pair. Dripping, Od per lb. These prices are for cash only; y 2 d per lb. for booking over cash prices charged by New Plymouth one week. General Groceries.—Boiled oats and oatina, lOd bag; oatmeal; 3s 3d per 251b bag; flour, roller, 1001b, lis 3d, 501b os, 251b 3s 3d.
Cereals, etc. —Oats, Gortons, 3s Cd per bushel, Duns 3s 9d, crushed oats 3s Od, barlev, 3a 6d; crushed beans, 5s 6d; pollard *7s 3d per 1001b, 14s per 2001bs; bran, fls per 1001b; fowl wheat, 4s 6d per bushel; maize, 4s per bushel.
