CAPTURED BY A RUFFIAN
A SCOOL TEACHER'S EXPERIENCE. A HUE AND CRY RAISED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Ottawa, September 13. The disappearance of a school teacher named Miss Brice, a relative of Mr. Roblin, Premier of Manitoba, started a hue. and cry along the trail left by the supposed murderer from the schoolhoiisc to a gully a mile distant. The body was not found, and the whole neighborhood took part in a search, with the result that the girl was found at last wandering over the prairie. She had been captured by a ruffian, kept all night on the prairie, and repeatedly beaten.
The man escaped, and, if found, will probably be lynched.
