NAPIER. CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, September 13. The Napier Coif Club's championship tournament opened yesterday. The leading scores in the, qualifying round for the championship were:—Butterworth 107. Banks 1118. Roberts 170, Kapi Tareha 171, Lusk 173. Knrcpo Tareha 1711, (loss, juni'., 1711, Kelly 17(1, Wood 17!). Fisher ISO, Crosse 1.81), Seifert 182. Welhvood 182, Strang 182. Thorburn 183, Dr. Earle 183. \V. Banks won the stroke handicap with a net score of IJB. WANGANUI LADIES' MEETING. Wanganui, Last Night. The Wanganui Ladies' Golf Cluib continued their championship meeting today. Rain fell. The championship resulted in Miss Gould beating Mrs. Wray, 2 up. In the eighteen hole bogey, Miss Cave and Miss Didsburg tied, Miss Cave winning. The approaching and 1 putting was won by Miss Cave, and the driving by Miss Wray (175 yds). Mrs. Lomax won the continuous putting competition.
