FEILDINO AFFAIRS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Feilding, Yesterday. The annual report' of the Chamber of Commerce states that through the efforts of the Chamiber better trucking of stock facilities were obtained. A proposal was made to publish a booklet setting-forth the advantages of Feilding district from a pastoral, agricultural, stockbreeding. fruit-growing, graingrowinar and dairying point of view. At the annual meeting last night Mr. Fred Pirani was elected president. MOKAU LANDS ENQUIRY. Wellington. Yesterday. As Mr. -Herman Lewis was unaible to attend to-day to continue his evidence in the Mob)it Lands Enquiry, it was adjourned until to-morrow morning. THE NAVY LEAGUE. Wellington, September 12. The Navy League Conference was opened to-day, Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.. presiding. A Timn.ru remit was carried affirming that a New Zealand branch of the Royal Naval reserve is necessary, and should be established. It was decided to urge that a larger vessel than the Amokura should be used for training purposes.

Owing to the judges in the North requiring assistance ,badly in consequence of the absence of Mr. Justice Cooper and the criminal bu=ine=s in Auckland occupying so much time, Sir Joshua. Williams leaves for Wellington on the 23rd, a week before the Appeal Court meets.
