LADIES' TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand ladies' hockey tournament was continued yesterday, when the semi-finals were played. As a result, liawke's I'.ay and Nelson will light out the final on .Monday. lIAWKE'S BAY (1) v. MANAWATU (0) Nearly -2000' people watched this match, and (he din of (he banackers was deafening. Half an hour elapsed before the only score was registered. As the result of combined play on the part of liawke's Kay, .Miss Dudley scored. The second spell was interesting, and the pace never slackened. Twenty minutes elapsed, and the position remained the same. NELSON (u) v. BULLER (1). The first spell of this game was stubbornly contested, and it was not until the. spell was nearly over that Miss 11. Emms shot a goal for Nelson. hi the second spell. Nelson's more scientific play told its tale. Misses Emms, Simpson, Ingram and Carrick scoring.
