iNTEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. 'fte annual report to be submitted to the New Plymouth Bowling Club to-nighi is as follows: Your committee have again the pleasure of congratulating the members on the continued prosperity of the club. Although the expenditure during tho past year has been rather' heavy,°owing to the extensive improvements* to the green, the whole of the new additions to the green having been turfed, and is now ready for piny, while the old portion has been carefully levelled and topdressed, all accounts have been paid, ami, as will be seen from the financial statement, a small credit balance remains in the bank. Club matches were played as usual during the year, and resulted as follows: Against Waitara, 2 wins; Stratford 2 wins; Fitzroy, 3 wins 1 loss; St. John's, AVangianui. 2 wns; Ha.wera, 2 losses;; Inglewood, li losses 1 win; West End, i win 1 loss; Waverlev, ( 1 win. The Taranaki Bowling Association tournament was held at Tnglewood, and, after a very successful meetinsr, the trophy was won by the Opimake"' team, and that club ia to be congratulated on its success. A team of Taranaki bowlers paid a vi*it to New South Wales, andVere most i warmly welcomed by tho New South Wales Association. " Although by no means a representative team the visitors won a fair proportion of the. matches played, and- every one returned perfectly satisfied that he had had ii thoroughly •good time, and expressing the desire to re-visit New South Wales again if opportunity offered. The Olivb Champion Cup was won by Mr. C. Rundle, the Pairs Competition by Messrs. Collins and Hooper, and the trophies presented by the vice-presidents by Messrs. S. -Rundle and Wood. Your committee recommend that an entrance fee of £2 2s should be paid by all new members joining the club hereafter. Two notices of motion have 'been handed to the secretary for the consideration of this meelinff. and your committee request careful consideration of same. With deep regret your committee have to record the deaths of our esteemed friends, Messrs. G. Tisch and B. H. NichoHs. I
