i SUMMARY AND FORECAST. * By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Government Meteorologist's summary and forecast: —Fair weather has prevailed everywhere. Moderate to strong easterly winds have prevailed northward of East Cape and Kawhia, and light and variable winds elsewhere. The barometer has fallen slowly. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, with increasing easterly and northerly winds generally. Hazy and cloudy weather will probably precede a change in the weather in all parts of the oountry within forty-eight tours.
