I Next in order came H. Galletley (Ashburton), Bowkett (Ashburton), P. Gillespie (Foxton), P. Hunmi, \V. C. Englefield, H. Henderson, H. O'Shea. Of the scratch men O'Sfrea wis fourteenth, ,1. This is his third attempt in the Dunlop race. He is 22 years of ag<\ slim, and weighs Ost (lib. 'lie rode all the way, except for wading the river Pel'ivyn, ami lie did not stop for refreshments, carrying some bananas and chewing gum. A very large crowd assembled to see the finish of the race, the winning post being in the main street at the north end of 'ho town, where a hundred yards were roned off to secure a clear course.
