TIMARU SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timarti, Last Night. , At the Supreme Court, S. Rowan, for : defiling a young girl, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and two years in a reformatory. All day was spent over a charge of sheep-stealing against D. Sargent, of Roekwood. He was acquitted after the jury had been locked up for four hours. He had killed a neighbor's sheep, and his excuse was that he had been misled by a change of brand, of which lie had not been informed.
