CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. ARTHUR DUNCAN CHAMPION. By Telegraph —Press Association. VVanganui, Last Night. The New Zealand golf championship meeting was continued to-day. The weather was somewhat mixed. In the early morning a stiff gale blew from the westward and a heavy shower fell. About 1U.30 the wind veered to the south, but the latter part of the afternoon was much quieter. Some good golf was again witnessed. Arthur Duncan maintained his lead in the open championship and, playing very consistently, won the coveted title of champion. His third round was done in 80, and his fourth in 81, the total being 310. .1. C. ilohnsoii was three points behind Duncan, but be played the best round of the day, scoring 70. and 77 respectively. Clements was in better fo/m than on .Monday, and put up 81 and 80, his aggregate being 320, which was equalled, by Stewart, who, however, lost several strokes, his round being 83 and 83. Wellington's No. 1 team carried oil' the inter-club challenge vase, third mud fourth rounds of the open championship, together with, the total for the four rounds:—
