DEACON BENEFIT CONCERT. The concert arranged as a benefit to Mr. Deacon takes place in the Good Templars' Hall to-night. The programme includes contributions from some of the best amateur talent, and apart altogether from the fact that the patrons will .receive their full money's worth they can depend that their assistance is jjpyen in a mofft deserving cause. SAUNDERS' PICTURES. The "Ticket in Tatt's" was shown to a good house last night. To-night a complete change of programme will be screened, and to compensate Mr. Saunders for Saturday's disappointment Messrs. Fuller and Sons have sent for to-night the most brilliant star programme showing in New Zealand. Selig's latest and greatest production, just released, "Back to the Primitive," is an nounced as the most strikingly sensational drama of modem photo, plays. Three other star-makers are included— Edison with "Alice in Wonderland," VRagraiph "Society and the Man," and A.B. "Conscience." In addition to these star?, Spencer's magnificent films of Cardinal Mora-n'a funeral will be repeated. Also "Warwick Castle," "Glimpses of China," "Scenes in Madeira," and a quartette of amusing comics.
