SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Government Meteorologist's weather summary and forecast: —Strong northerly and westerly winds .veered to southerly early to-day in most parts of the country. Unsettled and showery conditions have occurred in most parts of the country, hut fair weather has predominated. The barometer has risen in the south. Present indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly , winds generally, unsettled and cloudy weather at times in the norths and East Coast districts of the North Island, but lair weather elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady in the far north, but has a rising tendency elsewhere.
