Lieutenant de Orailly was flying at a height of 1500 feet near Troyes when his motor exploded and the aeroplane turned several somersaults. The tank took fire, and de Grailly was burned to a cinder. Captain Camine, while a emplaning at Xangia, fell 000 feet and was killed. While Marron was aeroplaning at Chartres, his machine turned a somersault, crushing him beneath it. A fire ensued, and Marron was incinerated. New York, September 3. A young aeronaut named Brown, who had made a display of fireworks from the ear of a balloon in North Carolina, in the presence of a great crowd, and then let the balloon by means of a parachute, fell into a shallow artificial lake and was drowned. HEAVY DEATH ROLL. Received 4. 10 p.m. Paris, September 4. Of seventy-six airmen killed since September 16, BIOS, twenty-nine were French —including eleven officers.
