AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. Three of the four persons charged with theft of goods from the wharf sheds were sentenced this morning by Mr. .lustice Chapman. Arthur (ilover, found guilty of forgery of a telegram, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment. A. K. Madden, who bad participated in the thefts, received two years', and .Joseph Khrman four years' each on the first and second counts, cumulative, and four years' each on the third and fourth counts, concurrent. making a total of eight years, and Mas declared an habitual criminal. The Judge, however, intimated that lie was doubtful if lie could add the declaration of habitual criminal, lie would state a case for the Court of Appeal. Mclntyre, the fourth accused, has tn stand bis second trial owing to the jury disagreeing.
