Tlic liody of Thomas ituimit*. who was ahont CO years old, a station hand, was found this morning in an outhouse at the Working Men's Club, with the throat cut in three places, and life extinct. The act was apparently premeditated. A solution of match beads was found yesterday in the. bedroom occupied by deceased at the City Buffet., A FLAX.MILL FATALITY. Palmcrston X., Saturday. Frank Ilealy, a single man, aged 35 years, was caught in an intermediate shaft at .Tarvis' flaxmill this mqrning and killed instantaneously, the body being terribly crushed and battered about. A BODY FOUND. Dunedin, Saturday. The body of John Denhalm, aged 30, a steamer's fireman, was found lloating in the Otago Harbor this morning. Apparently he was drowned on .Inly 21. He was a married man and had been employed on the steamer Pukaki. A WIDOW'S DISAPPEARANCE. Christchurch, Last Night. Charlotte Todd, the widow of Andrew Tood, who hanged. himself on Thursday, disappeared from her brother-in-law's house last night or early this morning. She retired about 11 p.m., but though her bed had been used, she could not be found this morning, and a search has proved unsuccessful. She was not fully clad when she left the house.
