MR CHURCHILL'S LUNATIC
AN EXPLANATION. Bv Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 1, 9.25 p.m. London, .September 1. The Home Office publishes the medical superintendent's letter, stating that it was unnecessary to detain the lunatic if his relatives undertook to take care of him. He was released in accordance with this recommendation. In yesterday's cablegram it was stated that the lunatic who was charged with assaulting a woman was liberated by Mr. Churchill's orders and against the advice of the medical superintendent.
