INVERCARGILL SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, Robert McDonald, charged with theft of £3# Is fid, the joint property of three others (his mates on a contract) was found guilty, and admitted to probation on condition that he should pay £lO towards the costs of the prosecution, and take out a prohibition order. The hearing was begun of the case of Thos. Taylor, a Bluff wharf laborer, v. the New Zealand Shipping Company, a claim for £550 damages for injuries received ill December while working a winch on the Ruapeliu. PALMERSTON SESSIONS. Pnlmerston N., Last Night, Murphy, who was found guilty of assault at Miftaroa, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. Win, Minchin, < who had pleaded guilty to carnally knowing a girl under 16, was ordered to come up ,for sentence when called upon.
