WATERSIDE WORKERS
AND THE OSBORNE JUDGMENT. By Telegraph —Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. At the Waterside Workers' Conference, Mr. Goodall (Greymouth) proposed that delegates approach candidates for Parliament in their various districts, and request an undertaking to support legislation to make the Osborne judgment ultra vires in New Zealand. Mr. T. Smith ( Wellington) stated that lie had seen in Wellington a Bill, to come before Parliament this session, which was a facsimile of the Bill now before the House of Commons. If this became law it would enable unions to use their funds for political or other purposes, as they choose. The motion was carried.
