MISTAKEN CLEMENCY.
A LUNATIC AT LARGE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyrigfit. Received 1, 12.5 a.m. London, August 31. A lunatic was charged with assaulting a lady. Evidence showed that he was released from asylum on Mr. Churchill's order, against the wishes of the medical superintendent. The magistrate recommitted him, declaring he ought never to have been released.
