AN ELECTION SENSATION. A BLOW TOR THE LAURIER PARTY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 31, 12.20 a.m. Ottawa, August 30. An election sensation has been sprung by the Provincial Government of Victoria prosecuting railway contractors who brought in aliens to work the railways despite the provincial laws to the contrary. It was sihown during the hearing that the Dominion Government aided the contractors through the agency of the immigration service. The loss of the Labor vote in British Columbia to Sir Wilfrid Lauricr's Ministry will probably follow the disclosures.
