WRECK AT THE ISLANDS
THE KNIGHT OF ST! GEORGE ASHORE. WILL BECOME A TOTAL WRECK. By Oable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 30, 8.30 p.m. Suva, August 30. The steamer Knight of St. George was wrecked on the North-west Reef, off Nukualofa, on the 20th, at 3 a.m., while travelling at half speed. Nos. 1 and 4 holds are full of water. The vessel is almost sure to become a total •wreck. Captain Stephen is standing by his ship, endeavoring to salvage the valuable cargo, including motor cars. The ship is ten miles out of her course, and the captain blames the currents. The Strathardle waits here for cabled orders.
