LTFEBOAT WASHED ASHORE. By Qa.l)lo—Press Association—Copyright. Received 29, 0.45 p.m. Sydney, August 29. A ship's lifeboat has been washed up on the beach at Cronulla. The boat was empty, and the name obliterated, but the port of registration. Callao, is decipherable. Three vessels, the Amazon, tnca and Laura, are overdue from Callao. THE COAL VEXD CASE. Received 30, 12.45 a.m. Sydney, August 29. The coal vend case argument has concluded, after seventy-three days. Judgment was reserved. Over 5000 relevant documents were put in. Eleven barrister.-, including six King's Counsel, have been engaged, besides a whole retinue of instructing attorneys.
