J Following is the Government Meteor- j plogist's weather summary and forecast: ; , The barometer rose in the north during the night, when the low pressure system passed off East Cape.. The weather improved to-day, with a decrease in the 'force of the wind. Present indications are for the development and approach of a westerly storm area, especially affecting tire country southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Moderate to strong westerly winds are prc/bable northward of Kawbia and Castlepoint, "*and freshening westerlies and noftherlies elsewhere, unsettled and cloudy' weather, increasing especially w the south and west, and a falling barometer, particularly in the southern districts.
