EXPLOSION AT SEA
SHIP'S CREW ESCAPES WITH DIFFICULTY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Capetown, August 25. The barque Lyndhurst, naphtha laden, took fire off Fish Point. There was a terrific explosion, but the crew escaped, though with difficulty. The steamer Clan MacLaren saw the flames thirtyfive miles distant, and rescued the crew. The vessel's hulk is dangerous to shipping. THE HULK REMOVED. ! Received 27, 5 p.m. I Capetown, August 26. A warship has sunk the Lyndhurst's hulk.
