A London cablegram states that it is believed that Mr. Hedraond Barry, member of the House of Commons for North Tyrone, and Solicitor-General of Ireland since 1905, succeeds the late Sir Samuel Walker as Lord Chancellor of Ireland. The Rev. John Laird, who lias been pastor of the Baptist Church for more than three years, is leaving for Canterbury next week. His friends are holding a farewell tea meeting to-night, and afterwards there will be a public meeting, when Mr. Laird will lte presented with an illuminated address.
