SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Government Meteorologist's weather summary and foreoast: Westerly winds have changed to southerly generally during Wednesday night, and the barometer rose iis the south. A south-westerly gale and' hail showers were experienced in ' Foveaux Strait. Showers fell on the west coast and in , the northernmost districts, and'changeable weather has been reported generally. Present indications are for a falling barometer in the north, with high < easterly and south-easterly winds, rain and squally weather. The- barometer has a rising tendency in the south, and strong south-easterly winds, with cold and showery weather, are probable, with snow on the higher fevels,
