FOURTH ANNUAL RETORT. The fourth annual meeting of the Rahotu Dairy Company will he held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 25, when the report, of which the following is a precis, will bo presented:—Tlie directors regretted that the result of tlie sale of produee did not realise anticipations, as tho butter market, which was expected to be very firm, turned out considerably weaker than was expected, and consignments did not realise tlie prices offered by buyers at the beginning of the season. Morrow had retired from the directorate, and Mr. G. R. Ti lee had been appointed in his stead. Two directors would be required to be i')eet«d- in place of Messrs. H. N. Chapman and ('<. R. Tylee, who retired by rotation, and also an auditor, Mr. MeKellar again offering- his services. A resolution was also to be proposed by the chairman that a co-operative store be started at the factory, and that applications be called for the position of storekeeper and secretary. The following statistics are also supplied: Milk received', (1,573,8071b.; butter-fat (cheese 65,0451b, butter 178,8441b), 244,4891b.; average test, 3.75; cheese made (factory weight), lix2,(18711)., butter made from starter, Willi).; weight of cheese per lb. butter-fat (factory weight), 23251b,; average price per lb. of cheese J factory weight), approximately 5.21 d; butter made, 2<)t),I8IIb.; over run, 15.37 per cent.; average price received per lb. butter, 10.43 d; average price paid per lb. butter-fat. !l.!)2d; average grade, butter 90.80, cheese 89.50. During the year £10,10!) 2s lid had been paid out for milk received.

An extraordinary meeting was also to be lielil prior to the annual meeting to consider resolutions re altering the articles of association so as to provide for doubling the share capital and also to increase the number of directors from ftve to seven, and to make the necessary alteration re directors retiring. A further extraordinary meeting is also called for September 15 to confirm the above resolutions, if passed, and also to elect three directors in place of Messrs. King, Hopkins and A. F. Chapman, who have resigned, but are eligible for reelection, and two other directors to bring the number up to seven if that resolution is carried.
