OPENING OF PARLIAMENT. By Cable—Press Association— J Copyright. Sydney, August 22. The opening of Parliament to-mor-row will have a humorous side. The clerk will preside without power to speak until the Speaker is elected. He will point to members. Messrs. Dunn and Perry, the members elected at the recent by-elections, will have to wait outside. The Speaker issued the writs, and he only will be able to receive the return. The clerk will have no authority to call members to order if they use forcible expressions. Mr. Wade endeavored to dissuade Mr. Willis from accepting the Speakership, but Mr. Willis was firm.
