SOUSA'S BAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington Last Night. Sousa's Band concluded its Wellington season in the Town Hall last evening. Altogether eleven concerts were given by tkis splendid band during last week, and it is noteworthy that the attendances and enthusiasm of the public increased on each occasion. The big hall was full last evening, and the audience was ex- , tremely enthusiastic throughout, so that 1 the programme was practically doubled by encores. The Imnd goes north tomorrow. A PROTEST. Timaru, Last Night. The A. and P. Association will support the Westland Association in asking the Department of Agriculture to appoint qualified vets, as inspectors of stock in the back country. The association resolved that the Poisons Bill is detrii mental to stock owners and fruit growers through the inconvenience of personal application for poisonous sheop dips and spraying materials, and through the monopoly given to chemists.
