HUNTING.
ANNUAL RACE MEETING. NOMINATIONS DUE TO-DAY. ■ A reminder is given that entries for the North Taranaki Hunt's annual race meeting close with the secretary, Mr. A. L. Humphries, to-day. An excellent bill of fare is provided, and owners will no doubt loyally support the hunt, Seven races are provided, and provision is made in the programme for both first and second class hunters, and an open hack, event is also included. POINT-TO-POINT STEEPLECHASE. The-North Taranaki Hunt's Point-to-Point Steeplechase, which was to have been held at Mr. F. Salway's on Thursday, was postponed on account of the weather. The stewards decided this was the best course, and arranged for the meet to take place next Thursday at 2 o'clock. There was an exceptionally good attendance on Thursday, and no doubt next .week will also see a good muster, as this well-known Bell Block property is admirably suited for such a gathering.
