SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued i the following summary and forecast:— Moderate to strong westerly winds, veer-! ing to southerly, have prevailed. The weather has improved everywhere to-day, i but rain has fallen in most parts of the j North Island and on the West Coast and in southern districts of the South Island. The barometer has been very unsteady, though without a decided change. Present indications are for a slowly rising barometer everywhere soon, somewhat changeable and showery weather with moderate to strong southerly winds preceding fair weather conditions. The aspect, however, is not yet settled, either about East Cape or in southernmost districts, where a small disturbance is due to pass about Sunday.
