LATE CARDINAL MORAN
MANY TRIBUTES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, August 17. There are many tributes in the press and from public men to the late Cardinal Moran as a great churchman, administrator and statesman. Numerous messages of sympathy have been received.
The Government, as a mark of respect, issues a special black-bordered gazette. By the death of Archbishop Moran, Archbishop Kelly, who was appointed his coadjutor, succeeds him as archbishop. This does not mean of itself that he will become a cardinal, that resting entirely with the Pope.
PLACE OP INTERMENT. Received 17, 0.50 p.m. Sydney, August 17. Permission has been obtained to inter Cardinal Moraa's Vody in St, Mary's Cathedral. A CONSTANT VIGIL. Received 18, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, August IS. A constant vigil is being kept on Cardinal Moran's body, and will continue until the interment on Saturday.
