SUMMAiRY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. * Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast: — Cloudy and rainy weather has prevailed, except on the eastern part of the South Island. Moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds have prevailed, bat a northerly gale is reported this evening at East Cape. The barometer has fallen slightly everywhere. Present indications are for rain in most .parts of the country, and strong northerly and westerly winds, changing to southerly after from, about 16 to 24 hours, when a rising barometer is probaible.
