Nelson, Wednesday.—Sailed, at noon, Rosamond, for New Plymouth. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond left Nelson at noon yesterday for New Plymouth and should arrive here this morning. Her cargo will amount to 219 tons. THE MOA. The Mou was expected to leave Westport last night for New Plymouth with a cargo of Stockton coal, in which case she should arrive here early to-morrow morning. The assaults of the White Star Company upon the carrying trade of Australia and New Zealand are (says a London correspondent) evidently to be more and more determined. The launch at Belfast the other day of the new twinscrew steamship Zealandie is part of the extension policy. The Zealandie is 477 ft | in length, of 8000 tons, and will have i accommodation for a limited number of I first and second-class passengers and 1100 third-class.
