A MOVEMENT has been inaugurated under the Title of the NATIONAL PEACE AND ANTI-MILITARIST COUNCIL OF NEW ZEALAND. (1) To unite those who arc protesting against the Compulsory clauses of the Defence Act, and to take united action in an effort to have the Clauses Repealed. (2) To circulate throughout tie Dominion a Petition to Parliament praying for the Repeal of the Compulsory Glauses of the Defence Act. (3) To pledge Candidates at the forthcoming Election to vote for the Repeal of the Compulsory Clauses and to recommend such Candidates who so pledge themselves for Election to Parliament. (4) To give information and legal interpretation of any Clauses of the Act, etc., etc. The Council is desirous of forming a Working Body in New Plymouth to Cooperate in the MovemenT, and would be glad of the names and addresses of all interested.
