SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. , Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Government Meteorologist's weather summary and forecast: The barometer has had a falling tendency, with increasing cloudiness, and ! rain falling in most parts of the country. Northerly winds have prevailed, strong to gales, on the west coast of the South Island and in the northern districts. Present indications are for rain generally, and heavy in parts, with rivers rising. Strong northerly winds, veering to westerly, will probably prevail, and a falling barometer every- < where.
