SERIOUS RACE WAR
NEGRO SHUT AXD BURNT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, New York, August 14. A serious race war is feared at Durant, in Oklahoma, following oil the burning of a negro who assaulted a white woman. A posse of white men found the negro escaping across the country and fired a volley. The man fell pierced by a hundred bullets. The body was then burned.
