A London cable states that King Alfonso lias left for home. Mr. ,H. T. Lysaght, who has disposed of his Xormanby property, has purchased a farm in the Tauranga district. Mr. P. O'Dea, of Ha went, advises us the report that he will stand down is favor of the Hon. T. McKenzie for the Patea electorate is incorrect. At Eltham on Thursday afternoon Mr. A. H. Northover, statiomnaster at Obakune, was married to Miss Elsie Stanners, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Stanners. The nuptial ceremony was performed at AH Saints' Church by the Bev. G. W. Dent.
