Harden to transfer an undivided interest in section 9, block 14, Mahoe, under which payment of rent conceded under section 127 of the Land Act, 1908, had been demanded. He submitted that as only a half interest of the section Ls being transferred the Act is silent on the point, and that if it do < apply only half the amount should be demanded.—The Board decided to obtain a tegal opinion on the subject. SUB-LEASES. Applications to sub-lease were dealt with' follows:—A. E. Sutton to J. S. Brough, section 2, block 12, Mimi—approved, subject to the Commissioner being satisfied with the sub-division, applicant to supply plan at his own expense. James Rooney to William Phillips, sections 25 and 2(5, block 9, Ngatimaru—approved. W. F. L. Jenkinson tc> J. and .T. ,T. Em?ding, part section SI, block 11. Ngaere—approved, subject to the Commissioner being satisfied with tha sub division, applicant to supply plan at his own expense. A month's extension was granted in which to register sub-lease C. A. E. Hodgkinson to .T. B Norris. section 11, block 2, Qinona, and section 7, block 7, Omona.

IMPROVED FARM SETTLERS. The following improved farm settler# applied for their leases:—F. J. Hallmond, section r>, block 5, Totoro; Wm. Kane, section 4, 'block 14. Ohura; Antony Christensen, section 11, block 10, OhuTa; John Bones, section 3, block 3, Totor*; P. Cnogun, section 10, block 9, Ohura.— The teaacs will be issued. GENERAL M. V. F.jran applied for the title of section 5, block 10, Opaku, to isbuc. — Acceded to. E. F. fluntreli's application for freehold o.f section 7, Mock 2, Maliofi, wa« acceded to. J. 0. Harrc appealed against forfeiture of sections 6 and 7, block 11, Pouatu. A statement of improvements effected was submitted.—Forfeiture rescinded, subject to ranger's report. The application of the Tatu Settlers' dip and snlevards was considered, and the Board could not see its way to recommend the Minister to grant the necessary land without compensation. The PommUsioner submitted the request of the Tatu Settlers' Association for a cemetery at Tatu.—Three acres of the village reserve will be set aside for the purpose. Wood Bros., lessees of section 26, block 13, Aria, applied for 180 acres of nnsurvey land in block 10. Aria.—Application to be advertised in terms of the Aet. O. E. Gooding applied for a lease of section 11, block 6, town of Huiroa.— Referred to ranger for report. .T. K.uperN application for lease of section 12, block 9, town of Mangaroa, was declined.
